Machining guidelines - Sawing

What cutting speeds and tooth pitches are recommended for our thermoplastics: an overview.

In the case of sawing operations, more attention must be paid to thermal expansion of the material concerned. This means that suitable, straight-set saw-blades should be used: care must also be taken to ensure that adequate chip removal is assured.

Depending on whether a band or a circular saw is used, different machining guidelines must be complied with.
